Krishnendu is a BAFTA-winning Film & TV producer. He recently produced the Dominic Savage feature film CLOSE TO YOU starring Elliot Page which premiered at TIFF 2023. He co-runs Me+You Productions with Richard Yee in London. They recently produced ALICE & JACK, a 6-part drama series by Vic Levin for Channel 4/PBS Masterpiece / Fremantle starring Andrea Riseborough and Domhnall Gleeson and directed by Juho Kuosmanen. 

He produced I AM RUTH, starring Kate Winslet as part of the acclaimed drama series I AM by Dominic Savage for Channel 4. The film won multiple awards including two BAFTA awards for Single Drama and Lead Actress and also a Royal Television Society Award. The other six films in the I AM anthology starred Lesley Manville, Letitia Wright, Suranne Jones, Samantha Morton, Vicky McClure and Gemma Chan.  

Other credits include creating and producing the International EMMY-winning comedy HOFF THE RECORD; co-creating the BAFTA-nominated global hit AN IDIOT ABROAD starring Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington and producing the Royal Television Society winning THE DALI AND THE COOPER for Sky Arts, directed by Iain Forsyth + Jane Pollard. 

In June 2023, he finished his 3-year term as Chair of BAFTA having been involved in various elected roles in the Academy for 18 years. He presided over seismic change when he led the BAFTA 2020 Review which resulted in over 120 ground-breaking changes to awards campaigning, voting and membership. It marked a cultural shift at BAFTA, from passive to proactive and progressive in tackling inequality. He has been selected three times by the Variety V500 list as one of the influential business leaders shaping the global media industry.
